The National Football Conference contains 4 divisions, the NFC East, the National Football Conference North, the National Football Conference South, the NFC West. The NFL’s NFC division contains organizations such as the Detroit Lions.

The AFC consists of sixteen organizations from towns from around the USA including Cincinnati, OH. The AFC is comprised of four divisions, the American Football Conference East, the AFC North, the American Football Conference South, the American Football Conference West. The National Football League’s American Football Conference division contains ball clubs like the New York Jets.

The NFL is one of the primary professional athletic associations in the United States, and the highest level of competitive football in existence. The National Football League’s seventeen week regular season lasts from September to December, with each ball club playing sixteen games and having one free week during the normal season agenda. Following the conclusion of the regular agenda, six organizations from each conference move into the playoffs. The 4 division champions and the 2 ball clubs (not division champions) with the {best|highest overall rank have earned spots in the playoffs. The 2 best records from each conference are allotted a week off, while the lower record 2 conference winners participate in the wild card game with the 2 wild card teams. The National Football League play-offs are lose and go home games culminating in the NFL’s championship competition, the Super Bowl, which is usually played on the first Sunday in February following regular season play, and is played among the winners of the National Football Conference and AFC.
